WHEW BOY did I hate taking so long on this. But here he is, the good ol' boy, and my fanmade intended Digimon partner, Salemon.
I'd love to hear some concrit on this guy. I worked a long time on him but I'm sure he's still got room for improvement, you know?

bee tee dubs if you think he seems inspired by Evangelion - you are So Right and I'm completely shameless lmao

---

The natural Salemon line remains a Digital Hazard-bearing virus-type Digimon from the beginning of their line to the end. Despite this, they tend to avoid conflict and are natural loners, so most of them live away from cities in cold and heavily-forested regions of the Digital World. Also contrary to their fearsome appearance is their love of fruit. The Salemon line utilizes electomagnetic pulses from the eye-shaped markings on their body to cause nausea and temporary paralysis in foes. The also are able to manipulate dark electricity, usually as blast waves or forcefields, but they can also localize electricity to their claws or tails to amplify slashing and bludgeoning attacks.

Botamon
This is an official Digimon. It was just born recently, and on the surface of its slime-shaped body, it has grown thick, black fuzz. It is unable to battle.
Level Baby I/Fresh
Attribute None
Type Slime
Attacks
Bubble Blow - Produces bubble-like objects from its mouth to intimidate the opponent.
Digivolves from Dark Digitama
Digivolves to Sheetmon, Dorimon, Gigimon, Xiaomon, Chocomon.

Sheetmon
The juvenile form of Salemon is called Sheetmon. These Digimon are covered in a cloth-like membrane on their head and wings that cannot be removed. Their flight is uneven, but is their best means of escape. They are shy and gentle Digimon who fluff up their tails when endangered.
Name Origin English - sheet refers to a common trope, the “bedsheet ghost”.
Level In-Training/Baby II
Attribute None
Type Lesser
Attacks
Little Sweep – Swings its bushy tail, throwing up a cloud of dust.
Digivolves from Botamon, Paomon, Zurumon.
Digivolves to Salemon, DORUmon, Guilmon, Black Guilmon, Gazimon, Terriermon, Lopmon.

Salemon
These small bat-like Digimon sport powerful wings for extended flight, and a long tail upon which they hang upside down. They are curious but serious Digimon, and gladly fight back if threatened, using electricity-like dark energy. Most members of this species have a somewhat suspicious, untrusting personality, so those who befriend them should count themselves lucky. They have a third eye on their forehead, under the eye-shaped marking, but it is rarely opened.
Name Origin French- "Sale" means. English - Salem, Massachusetts was the site of one of the most famous witchcraft trials in American history.
Level Child/Rookie
Attribute Virus
Type Bewitching Beast
Families Nightmare Soldiers, Wind Guardians
Attacks
Electroplasm - Fires a shot of dark purple electricity from its mouth.
Shadow Barrier - Its third eye opens and it summons a dark purple electrified barrier. Higher-level Digimon can easily shatter it.
Night Vision - Releases an electromagnetic pulse from its third eye that causes nausea and disorientation in foes. It barely effects higher-level Digimon.
Digivolves from Sheetmon, Dorimon, Gigimon, Xiaomon, Chocomon.
Digivolves to Maldeodramon, DORUgamon, Growmon, Black Growmon, Devidramon, Dobermon, Black Galgomon, Wendigomon.

Maldeodramon
In its evolution to its natural Adult, Salemon gains over six feet of height and becomes a large, brawny Beast-Dragon Digimon. As its Virus typing would suggest, these Digimon are aggressive, but lack the stereotypical desire to harm others. Often serious to the point of humorlessness, they are avoidant loners and, if pushed enough, will resort to violence. However, they form strong bonds of loyalty to the few they deem worthy, and will bravely lay down their lives for others. On top of their maintained electric abilities, Maldeodramon come packing huge bone-like claws, perpetually-sharpened fangs, and a powerful tail that can snap trees with a swing. They often walk on all fours like a bear. Though they have no real need to, most Maldeodramon keep their metal cuffs clean and rust-free.
Name Origin Spanish - the phrase "Mal de Ojo," meaning "evil eye," an occult concept referring to a glance that can cause harm to others.
Level Adult/Champion
Attribute Virus
Type Beast Dragon
Families Nightmare Soldiers, Wind Guardians
Attacks
Haunted Eye - The eye-shaped markings on the arms and forehead glow an eerie purple, paralyzing the opponent.
Nightmare Claw - Slashes with long claws engulfed in dark energy.
Shadow Longinus - Charges energy on its eye-shaped markings for 3-10 seconds (depending on strength desired) before releasing a blast of blackish lightning from its mouth. The blast can also be used as a barrier.
Digivolves from Salemon, DORUmon, Guilmon, Black Guilmon, Gazimon, Terriermon, Lopmon.
Digivolves to Jettaturdramon, DORUgreymon, SkullSatamon, Black Megalo Growmon, Cerberumon, Ba'almon, Black Rapidmon.

Jettaturdramon
Undead Dragon Digimon that has some difficulty speaking on account of its facial armor. The armor and fabric it wears keeps its undead body together, but if injured, its flesh is weak enough to tear. This can lead to lost limbs, but it has a very limited ability to feel pain, and it is a very determined, unrelenting fighter: it either wins, or it dies. It attacks with its skeletal claws and metal tail hooks, and, if pushed to the limit, can create vicious spire-like appendages from dark energy to retaliate. This Digimon may go berserk in battle, but outside of a fight, it is quiet and self-conscious for its terrifying appearance. As such, it is easy to get along with, since most of them live in solitude for their shame. Surprisingly gentle, they tend to protect smaller Digimon that come into their territory, and are usually valorous and defensive of others.
Name Origin Italian/archaic English - "Jettatura" is an old name for the "evil eye," an occult concept referring to a glance that can cause harm to others.
Level Perfect/Ultimate
Attribute Virus
Type Undead Dragon
Families Nightmare Soldiers, Wind Guardians
Attacks
Abyss Watcher - A pulse is fired from all of their eyes. Nausea, headaches, mild paralysis, and even fainting are possible in weaker Digimon. Perhaps most unique in this form is the acute anxiety and paranoia enemy Digimon feel.
Absolute Terror - A massively-electrified pulse is fired from all of their eyes and eye-shaped markings in every direction. Though the pulse weakens the farther away the opponent gets from it, it produces nausea and electrifies their entire body, leaving them moderately stunned.
Berserker Nightmare - Surrounds its body in dark energy and charges the foe on all fours, ravaging with claws, teeth, and electrocuting them mercilessly. This is an all-or-nothing attack, as after a few minutes, all of Jettaturdramon's stamina will be drained; however, the sheer ferocity of the attack gives Digimon of equal power or less very few ways to survive.
Digivolves from Maldeodramon, DORUgamon, Growmon, Black Growmon, Devidramon, Dobermon, Black Galgomon, Wendigomon.
Digivolves to Nightmare Maldeodramon, DORUghoramon, Belphemon, Chaos Dukemon, Megidramon, Beelzemon, Jesmon, Cherubimon Vice.

Nightmare Maldeodramon
These Digimon are incredibly rare, to the point where they were thought of as myth until recently, though according to some, they are a bit of a Pandora's box of a monster. What is known is that Nightmare Maldeodramon fight more like a force of nature than a sentient creature: never speaking, only roaring; unresponsive to pain; leaving utter destruction in their wake with no regard for surroundings. Perhaps most horrifying is that they are in fact highly intelligent, and that this battle style is in fact a form of psychological warfare. Regardless, the all-powerful, unstoppable posturing they give themselves commands respect (if not fear) from all other Digimon. Thankfully, outside of battle, they retain a similar personality to Maldeodramon itself, but calmer and more self-assured. They are good allies to have, and one of the worst Digimon to have as an enemy.
Physically, their armor is made of a refined Black Digizoid and colored many different ways. Its gauntlets can be removed and the three-claw blades are retractable; when retracted, they are covered with the white knuckles and become full-arm brass knuckles. The horn on its forehead is only part of its armored mask; unfortunately, the armor is incredibly difficult and uncomfortable to remove (except for the gauntlets). The green orb on its chest is its one notable weak point - its exposed Digicore.
Name Origin English - "nightmares" are bad dreams. Spanish - the phrase "Mal de Ojo," meaning "evil eye," an occult concept referring to a glance that can cause harm to others.
Level Ultimate/Mega
Attribute Virus
Type Dark Dragon
Families Nightmare Soldiers, Wind Guardians, Dragon's Roar
Attacks
Sahaquiel Eye - All of its eyes flash with a blinding, eerie light. All those it sees are struck with intense nausea and an all-consuming feeling of terror. This attack only hurts those Nightmare Maldeodramon wants to hurt. This can also be used as a barrier.
Galvanizer Longinus - Fully unsheathes its metal claws and sends an electrical charge through them. Upon slashing with the claws, the energy can either be shot out as projectiles, or can be released upon impact, sending a point-blank shock through the foe while cutting.
Nightmare Impact - Surrounds itself with dark energy to charge the opponent viciously, attacking all out, similarly to Jettaturdramon. However, unlike its pre-evolution, this attack does not expend as much energy, and can be used many times with cooldown periods in between as a result. A variation of this attack involves opening the "jaws" of its skull-like shoulder armor and releasing massive blasts of dark electricity as rays or bullets from them and its mouth while flying around.
Final Impact - A last-ditch attack, but instead of drawing on its own energy, Nightmare Maldeodramon gives itself over to fury and will only stop fighting when either it neutralizes the threat or it dies. This attack is more of a "mode," and is indicated in unfocused, glowing eyes and Digicore and a green halo around its single horn. It will use any method to incapacitate its foe: its claws, its teeth, its fists, its fingers, its tail, electricity. Depending on how long the battle takes, it is possible for Nightmare Maldeodramon to revert all the way back to a DigiTama from exhaustion. Like a Dark Digivolution, this mode can be forced, but unlike a Dark Digivolution, it is more likely for Nightmare Maldeodramon to trigger it itself.
Digivolves from Jettaturdramon, DORUgreymon, SkullSatamon, Black Megalo Growmon, Cerberumon, Ba'almon, Black Rapidmon.
Digivolves to none known.
